Project settings
Project settings are shared. Translation content and language configuration use the selected branch. See branch navigation and branch permissions.
Owner/Admin users manage project settings. Every workspace member can read the project.
Rename a project
Section titled “Rename a project”In an active project and workspace, open project Settings, change Project name and choose Save project name. Names accept 1–100 characters after trimming and do not need to be unique.
The project ID and source language stay the same. Projects cannot be moved between workspaces in this release.
Archive a project
Section titled “Archive a project”Open project Settings, choose Archive project, review the confirmation and confirm.
The project remains readable, but its settings and languages become read-only. The default active project list no longer includes it; select Archived or All projects under Project status to find it.
Restore a project
Section titled “Restore a project”Find the archived project, open Settings, choose Restore project and confirm. You must still be Owner/Admin, and the workspace must be active.
If the workspace is archived, its Owner must restore it first. Restoring a project keeps the source, targets, inactive states and fallback links already saved.
How archive levels interact
Section titled “How archive levels interact”| Workspace | Project | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Active | Owner/Admin can manage project settings and languages. |
| Active | Archived | Read access remains; Owner/Admin can restore the project. |
| Archived | Either state | Read-only; the workspace Owner must restore the workspace first. |
Restoring a workspace does not restore projects that were individually archived. It also does not reactivate inactive target languages.
Permanent project deletion is not available. If a change conflicts with another operation, refresh and review the current state before confirming again.
A branch can also be archived independently. Restoring its parent project or workspace does not restore that branch. Its content remains read-only until an Owner/Admin explicitly restores the branch.
Choose whether we remember appearance preferences and use Google Analytics on Localisync and its documentation. Optional storage stays off until you accept.
