Ownership and archive
Each workspace has exactly one Owner. Ownership transfer and archiving require that role.
Transfer ownership
Section titled “Transfer ownership”The workspace must be active and the new owner must already be a member.
- Open workspace Settings.
- Under Transfer ownership, select a New owner.
- Select Transfer ownership, review the confirmation and confirm.
The selected member immediately becomes the only Owner. Your role becomes Admin. You cannot undo the transfer yourself; the new Owner would need to transfer ownership back.
If no teammate is available, invite them and wait for acceptance first.
Leave a workspace
Section titled “Leave a workspace”Non-owner members can open Settings, choose Leave workspace and confirm. Leaving removes your access to this workspace while preserving your account and other memberships. Rejoining requires a new invitation.
The Owner must transfer ownership before leaving. Non-owners may leave an archived workspace too.
Archive a workspace
Section titled “Archive a workspace”As Owner, open Settings, choose Archive workspace and confirm.
- Existing members keep read-only access.
- Pending invitations are revoked.
- Project, language and team-management writes are blocked.
- Non-owners may still leave.
Archiving does not permanently delete the workspace or its data.
Restore a workspace
Section titled “Restore a workspace”As Owner, open the archived workspace’s Settings, choose Restore workspace and confirm.
Workspace editing becomes available again. Revoked invitations remain revoked; issue new invitations when needed. Individually archived projects and inactive languages keep their prior states.
If another operation changed the workspace while your screen was open, refresh and review its current state before repeating the action.
Choose whether we remember appearance preferences and use Google Analytics on Localisync and its documentation. Optional storage stays off until you accept.
